Another sea day as we head out into the North Sea and our return to Southampton. 

We decided to hang out in the Piazza this morning to watch the goings on.  First of all it was the bean bag toss! There were 5 adult competitors and a mother and 4 or 5 year old daughter!  The little girl was really cute;  as she tossed her beanbags with her right hand she sort of lifted her left leg out behind her!  Although she didn’t win, she was a fan favourite!

Next came a giant Jenga game!  It was Passengers vs Officers!  Each team took turns removing two pieces and placing each removed piece on top of the tower without toppling it.  It’s amazing how the tower can stand up with so many pieces removed!

In the end, the passengers won!

Then we were entertained by the Singers and Dancers!

As if that was not enough entertainment for one morning, the Cruise Director introduced a parade of crew so we could share our appreciation for all their efforts to keep us happy!  Then the Captain and some of the Officers joined in to thank the passengers!  That was a lot of thank you’s!!

 

Back to the trough for a little lunch followed by a little R & R!  Some TV!  A nap! Some mindless iPad Games!

Final dinner of the cruise was good, as usual.  I am not used to eating a full lunch so I was not very hungry!  The starters were Scandinavian Soup for Mary followed by Caesar Salad.  Dorothy had a stuffed Ravioli appetizer.  For the main course Mary had slow roasted beef and Dorothy had Sole.  Dessert was in memory of Con - Apple pie ala mode!

We are now waiting for the show to begin - a variety show featuring the singers and dancers as well as a few other of the entertainers we have seen.

The first half of our journey has been great; keeping our fingers crossed that the second half will be as good!
