Jun 10. At Sea

 Jun 10  At Sea

It was a quiet day today!  We sailed along under hazy, overcast skies with a few showers now and then as we made our way towards Norway.

This morning there was a meeting for In Transit passengers - details about turnaround day back in Southampton.  None of this was that important to us as we are remaining in the same cabin for the second cruise and we will be out on a tour while the disembarkation is taking place.  When we return we will have our In Transit Card which will bypass all the registration etc and get us right to the security check.

We did attend the session on Kristiansand, our last port of call.

It was ‘formal’ night again!  We were quite surprised at the dinner menu!  Not the usual lobster offering.  In fact we had trouble deciding on an entree!  After our starters, Mary ended up with Cornish Game Hen and wondered how she would tackle it and Dorothy opted for the Steak and fries from the Always Available menu.

Dessert was the best part!  Caramel Turtle Cheesecake for Mary and Lemon Twist Trifle for Dorothy!

Tonight’s show was David Knight, a hypnotist!  He started out with about 20 volunteers and eliminated some leaving a group of about 12 who responded to his instructions!  It was entertaining - sort of!!!  lol

So we’ll call it a day!  When we wake up tomorrow we’ll be back in Norway!

Night! Night!

😴😴

  1. Your dinners looked great. The lemon dessert was calling my name. I have been busy working in my gardens. Michelle from Comox arrives Tuesday. She can't do stairs so she is saying at an air b & b while she is here. Her operation for knee replacement is July 17th. Enjoy Norway.

  2. As much as I like chocolate, that lemon trifle has my vote.

  3. I’m with you, Sharon. I leave the chocolate desserts for Mary!

  4. I might have skipped the main course and had both desserts instead. I love lemon but can’t turn down something with turtle + caramel + cheesecake 😋

  5. Problem is we still have three more weeks so if I did that I would have no clothes to fit me! 🤣
