Apr 15- Capetown.
Today we went on bit of a city tour. The highlight was taking the gondola to the top of Table Mountain , the most famous landmark in Capetown. The Gondolas hold about 60 people and the floor rotates so you get great views of the city below. Once up there we walked along the top taking in the spectacular scene.

Barb and me, two dames with canes! LOL
Lunch was on our own and then those who wanted to shop walked along the waterfront. But some of us returned to Blackheath for the afternoon.
In the evening we went to an African dinner and show! It was an event! We had a bongo lesson! And two or three song and dance performances!
There is just one fabulous surprise after another! I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Apr 16 - Cape Peninsular Tour
Another perfect day in a beautiful part of the world!
We started off our day at Signal Hill, where every day a signal was sounded at noon to tell the farmers to load up their wagons and bring in their wares. That signal still is sounded today!
We drove through Clifton, an upscale neighbourhood and Camps Bay. We reached the town of Hout Bay (dutch for wood) and had a photo stop at
Sentinel rock.
Our drive continued to Chapmans Peak with interesting scenery along the way.
Film site for Ryan’s DaughterThe drive along False Bay was barren until we reached Cape Point, another scenic spot where a lighthouse stands. Mary took the funicular to the top!
Then on to the Cape of Good Hope! We have now been to the southern tip of both South America ( Cape Horn) and Cape of Good Hope (Africa). I’m sure Dee will be posting our group photo on the Hosted Africa page on Facebook
We made a brief stop to photograph ostriches foraging.
Then our tour took us through Simon’s Town, an upscale Naval town with posh hotels
Our last stop of the day was to see the African Penguins! Always fun to watch!
A Rock Rabbit.
ANOTHER wonderful day! Pinch us! We’re still in Africa!!
Dorothy and Mary I can not believe the views you are seeing. They are spectacular. I can not thank you enough for taking us along on your holiday, and what a holiday it has been. I never knew Africa was so beautiful.
