Nov 2 - At sea
We begin our Transatlantic with a sea day, keeping our fingers crossed for calm seas and pleasant temperatures!! It’s pleasant today, but a bit cooler. I see it’s only 1° in Alliston! BRRRRR
We went to the dining room for breakfast today! It seems that (and room service) are the only places I can get my bran flakes. When Elena brought my cereal, my heart sank! It was those little cardboard worms - I think they call them bran buds or something and they were ghastly! The Eggs Benedict made up for it though! 😉
Mary went off to the destination talk on Malaga and I came back to the cabin and promptly fell asleep for another hour+!!! Yikes! She went out in search of lunch around noon and I just had a half a granola bar as I was still full from breakfast.
This afternoon we went to the talk on Gibraltar. I love Jez’ presentations; they are interesting and her photos are wonderful. Since I am going to miss an excursion there due to not being able to take my walker I was able to travel vicariously through her talk.
Tonight is ‘formal night ‘ (again!!!) so we’ve come back to get a bag of laundry ready for Valent to take down tonight and to shower. Dinner features another repeat menu - I think I’ll have Seared Halibut and Mary is excited about the Black Forest Cake!! I will keep emphasizing the repeat menus so that Barb doesn’t miss being here! 😜
The show is Pete Matthews, UK’s premier comedy juggler?? LOL You can read all about him by clicking the link!
Not a very exciting account of today’s activities! Maybe I should write about bungee jumping off the back deck? Now that would be some ‘story’!!! LOL
Tomorrow we’ll be in Malaga for the day!
Yep! Missing those evening meals for sure! Glad you’re getting some rest and have fun tomorrow in Malaga.
ReplyDeleteHow can one person need so much rest??? Mary liked the Tuk Tuk!
